Lectures 2014

GEORGE JAMIESON - talk on different ways of making animal manikins and reference using death and body casts.

DREW BAIN - demonstration on restoration techniques on a fox mask.

KIM MCDONALD - another very useful update on taxidermy law with a new system of class licences in force in England and Wales and confusion over the number of species/specimens that may be sold by individual taxidermists.

MIKE GADD on the importance of taking measurements with the use of his new measurement sheet.  Jazmine Miles-Long found it useful to learn more advanced measurement techniques to aid and understanding bird anatomy.

DAVE ASTLEY - again showing his skill and understanding of the very versatile medium, compo, which can be used to make a gothic arch and a branch rock or model a zebra's nose.  He showed how to extend the medium's working life.

MIKE GADD's DOCTOR'S SURGERY to suggest improvements on mounts brought in for expert scrutiny.
