The Guild of Taxidermists Conference Competitions
held at the University of Liverpool & Merseyside County Museum from 27th to 29th March 1980
Professional Membership - this new qualification was introduced for the first time. Specimens were awarded a credit if they came up to a standard laid down by the Guild and anyone achieving six credits qualified for this award.
Over 130 specimens were brought to the Conference and although no one received sufficient credits to qualify for the award, Derek Frampton gained 5 credits and only needed one more for the Professional Membership.
